Samantha Hughes, Artist

Samantha is a Portland, Oregon contemporary artist. She gleans inspiration from the colorful people in her life, her cat, Oryx, and the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Her work is characterized by brilliant colors, contrasting shapes and ideas, and bold compositions.

She has exhibited in Washington and Oregon, and her work has been shown in private residences and businesses. Samantha believes in philanthropy and has auctioned work to support local children's art and music programs. 

Among her many talents, Miss Hughes holds a Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance in Opera from Portland State University, loves photography and surfs on the Oregon coast whenever she gets the chance.
